Angles + Light Look book
Angles + Light
Most days start for me by walking across the hall from my bedroom, and into my small home studio. I look out the window, across the little pond in our backyard, and over to the trees behind that pond. I study the way the sun is making her way from tree to tree, as she slowly spreads across the pond. I love the slight changes from hour to hour, day to day. Sunlight, and the way that it moves with us through out the year is a large source of inspiration for me, and this collection.
Another inspiring element is negative space. I've always found it to be beautiful. The forms that are created by the ABSENCE of shape, the way the beauty in those things needs to be sought out and searched for, is like a beauty hide and seek. That will forever be fascinating to me.
Drawing from my love of light, I wanted to create pieces that could interact with the light. Highly polished, and reflective surfaces became a focal point. Combining light play, and classic shapes, Angles and Light was born.
